Our goal today, just as it was when we opened more than 20 years ago, is to inspire and empower students through an education experience tailored to each child’s needs.
To be their best selves, we believe students need to take responsibility, show kindness, and stay actively involved in their learning journey. Our team of Ohio-certified teachers and statewide community of families and students are dedicated to creating a learning environment that’s all about accountability, respect, and fun!

Evie’s Journey
When Evie’s family chose Ohio Virtual Academy in 4th grade, they wanted a learning environment that felt purposeful, not pressured. OHVA gave Evie the flexibility and support to challenge herself academically and pursue opportunities early.
As valedictorian of the class of 2025, Evie graduated with both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree, ready to follow her passion for forensic science.

- Took high school courses in 7th grade and college courses in 8th
- Earned 90 college credits alongside her high school diploma
- Developed long-term focus and independence while balancing academics and life

Kelly Peppard, Digital Arts
Kelly Peppard brings digital art to life for OHVA students, helping them explore their creative potential while earning fine arts credit. In her class, students use accessible software, tackle open-ended projects, and gain confidence in skills they didn’t know they had—all while preparing for careers in the arts or beyond.

For Faith, balance isn’t just about skating—it’s about managing school, work, and family while pursuing her passion for competitive roller dancing. OHVA gave her the structure, flexibility, and encouragement to excel both academically and personally. She graduated as Class of 2025 Salutatorian, ready to step into her future with confidence.
